Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America is an actress and a singer. Bell is an Michigan native, born and fostered by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) as well as Tom Bell (a TV news director). The mother of Kristen is Polish and her father German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen's talents for performing were discovered at a very young age. Her audition was in 1992, and was then offered the role of Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mother introduced her to an agent before she was 13 and she was subsequently cast in television advertisements for newspapers and commercials. Bell also began taking private acting classes at the age of 13. Bell had a small uncredited part in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School and was in the band and drama clubs. Bell was chosen to play the lead role as Dorothy at her school's production of The Wizard of Oz. Bell was a student at the Tisch School of the Arts where she studied Musical Theater in New York City. Bell quit studying in the year 2001, and began playing Becky who is a character from Tom Sawyer. In 2001, Bell made her debut on the credit screen as Becky in Pootie Tang. However, her scene was cut from the film, and she only appears as a credit. The year 2002 saw her first major role. Bell was on her first Broadway revival of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
